A Gentle, Effective Way to Heal Trauma

Observed & Experiential Integration (OEI) is a groundbreaking counselling approach designed to help people recover from trauma and emotional pain. Unlike traditional talk therapy, OEI works directly with both the mind and body, helping to release distress that often feels “stuck.”

Theoretical Foundations & Integration

Developed in the late 90s by Neurological Psychologist Dr. Rick Bradshaw and Psychotherapist Audrey Cook, OEI Therapy was designed to provide relief and insight towards things that have made people feel overwhelmed or uncomfortable.

Here’s Dr. Rick Bradshaw’s Tedx Talk:

OEI Therapy is effective towards the following issues:

  • Body image concerns and eating disorders

  • Trauma

  • Addictions

  • Peak performance training

  • Distressing relationships with others

  • Systematic and gradual desensitisation

  • Language acquisition & accent reduction

  • Poor sense of self and self-harming behaviours

  • Dissociative disorders & attachment difficulties

  • Somatic symptoms (eg. fibromyalgia, MS, PNES, chronic pain etc.)

  • Mood-related disorders (eg. anxiety, post-partum depression, depression etc.)

By gently working with eye movements and body responses, OEI helps dissolve great traumatic distress, restore calm, and build resilience. Many clients describe the process as surprisingly gentle, yet deeply impactful.

In short—

OEI helps you move from feeling stuck in the past, to living with freedom in the present.
